When we first moved to Medellín, one of the hardest things to figure out was how to find reliable help at home. We needed a cleaner. We needed a driver for airport runs. Eventually we needed a personal chef for a dinner party. Every single time, the process was the same: post in a Facebook group, get a dozen names with no context, message strangers on WhatsApp, and hope for the best.
Sometimes it worked out. Sometimes it did not. We had cleaners cancel the morning of, drivers who did not show up, and one chef who quoted us triple what she charged locals. It was not malicious - it was just what happens when there is no structure, no accountability, and no shared information.
Then we met Amparo.

Amparo had been cleaning homes in El Poblado for over a decade. She was incredible - reliable, thorough, and kind. But she had no way to build a professional reputation. Every new client was a cold start. She could not point to her reviews or her track record. She was invisible to the very people who would have loved to hire her.
That is when we realized the problem was not just on the client side. Workers like Amparo deserved a platform where their skills and reliability could speak for themselves. A place where being great at your job actually meant something.
So we built Casayuda. A platform where every worker is vetted before they join. Where reviews are tied to real, completed bookings. Where pricing is transparent and profiles are detailed. Where clients can browse, compare, and book with the same confidence they would on Airbnb or Uber - but for finding help at home.
We are a small team, we are just getting started, and we are building this because we think it should exist.
